Ionia A 93. passed a a August, 21. 2000 at Foster Care Home in Ionia. He was born the son of Henry Poole and Ella Rose (Avery) Bennett on Jan. 30, 1907 in North Plains Township.

He married the former Freda Cusack on April 7, 1934. He was a long time member of SS. Peter Paul Catholic Church in Ionia. He was a former President of the Holy Name Society, former President of St. Patrick's Athletic Assn.

in Portland and-a former Knights of Columbus member. He retired from Fisher Body in Lansing where he was a Union Steward Rex managed area, independent and American Legion Baseball Teams. He founding member of the Portland Civic Players. Rex was a and essayist, known for writing letters to editors of various newspapers. He was very active member of the Democratic Party and he was a former member of the Ionia City Council.

Surviving are: 3 sons, David (Jeanie) Bennett of DeWitt, Tony (Judy) Bennett of Ionia, Bruce (Noel) Bennett of Portland; 3 daughters, Shirley (John) Burns of Dimondale, Mary (Ken) Kapustka of Ionia, Jeanine (Calvin) Cross of step-grandchild; Eagle; 21 grandchildren; 1. grandchildren; 3 step-greatgrandchildren; and sister-in-law: Madelyn Bennett of Hubbardston. He was born February 15, 1921 in Tecumseh, MI the eldest son of Joe and Rosina (Coscarelli) DeMarco. He was an owner in the business his father started DeMarco's, Inc. until the sale of the business in 1999.

He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Ann Snyder was born June 17, 1926 in Lansing Township to Clinton and Cleo (Gibson) Annis. She graduated from Sexton High School in 1945 and received her B.S. in Science from Anderson University in Anderson, IN in 1949. While at Anderson University she was among 9 women in the nation to win scholastic honors. She earned a M.A.

from Central Michigan University funded by a Science Institute Fellowship while teaching full time and raising her family. She taught science and English at Shepherd High School from 1957 1982. In retirement, Ann pursued volunteer work for Meals on Wheels Program and at the Masonic Home in Alma. She was a member of the Order the Eastern Star Coe Chapter of Shepherd and was awarded the Rose Medallion Award in September 1993. She was a member of the Winn United Methodist and also attended the Central Michigan Free Methodist Church for the last few years.

Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Max Snyder; 2 sons, Robert (Terie) Snyder of Lansing, Donald (Nancy) Snyder of Alma; 3 granddaughters, Jessica, Tiffany and Christinand 3 Violet and 1 step-grandchildren, great-stepgrandson; 1 sister-in-law, Fran Annis of Barryton.
